JAMES G. PIETRAS, ESQ.

Mr. Pietras is admitted in the State of New Jersey, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and United States Supreme Court. He has also been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Workers' Compensation Law Attorney. Mr. Pietras concentrates his practice on litigating workers' compensation claims before the New Jersey Division of Workers' Compensation and New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division as well as the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Pietras was formerly a shareholder in the law firm of Capehart Scatchard, P.A. He earned his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law. Mr. Pietras is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Burlington County Bar Association, and Camden County Bar Association. He is an active member in the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, Camden/Burlington/Gloucester Employers' Council, and Central Jersey Claims Association. Mr. Pietras is also a frequent lecturer on workers' compensation law with the Council on Education in Management and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education on issues involving the Second Injury Fund and claims for total permanent disability. Mr. Pietras is also very active in the American Diabetes Association where he serves as a board member. Mr. Pietras successfully defended the City of Ventnor before the New Jersey Supreme Court in the matter of Jumpp v. City of Ventnor, 177 N.J. 470 (2003).

CHRISTOPHER J. SARACINO, ESQ.

Mr. Saracino is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  He has also been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Workers' Compensation Law Attorney.  His practice focuses on the litigation of workers' compensation matters before the New Jersey Division of Workers' Compensation and the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division as well as the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Saracino is a graduate of Villanova University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, and Villanova University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor. Mr. Saracino served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Anthony J. Parrillo, J.A.D and the Honorable Rosemarie R. Williams, J.S.C in Trenton, NJ prior to entering private practice. He was also previously associated with the firm of Capehart Scatchard, P.A. in Mount Laurel, NJ. Mr. Saracino serves as Special Workers' Compensation Counsel for the Office of County Counsel representing the County of Camden in the defense of its workers' compensation claims. Mr. Saracino is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Burlington County Bar Association, and the Camden County Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer and moderator on workers' compensation law for the Council on Education in Management in addition to presenting in-house seminars for insurance carriers and third-party administrators. Mr. Saracino is an active member of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, Camden/Burlington/Gloucester Employers' Council, Central Jersey Claims Association, and is an associate member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS). Mr. Saracino has also been certified as a Civil Mediator by the Superior Court of New Jersey, Special Civil Division. Mr. Saracino successfully defended United Airlines in a post-traumatic stress claim filed by a flight attendant following the events of September 11, 2001, before the Appellate Division and New Jersey Supreme Court in the matter of Stroka v. United Airlines, 364 N.J. Super. 333 (App. Div. 2003), cert. den., 179 N.J. 313 (2004).

BENJAMIN F. SMITH, ESQ.

Mr. Smith is admitted in the State of New Jersey, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Smith is a graduate of the University of New Orleans (B.A. 1993) and the University of Akron School of Law (J.D. 1996). Prior to joining the firm, then known as Pietras Saracino, LLP, Mr. Smith was associated with the law firms of Capehart Scatchard, P.A. and Michals, Wahl, Silver, Leitner, Tort & DeFazio where he focused his practice in the area of workers' compensation defense and litigation. Mr. Smith also served as house counsel to Selective Insurance Company. Mr. Smith is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a lecturer for the National Association of Insurance Women (Reducing Workers' Compensation Costs). Mr. Smith continues to represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators and self-insureds in the defense of workers' compensation claims throughout the State of New Jersey.

JODY L. MEEKS, ESQ.

Ms. Meeks is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Her practice focuses on the litigation of workers’ compensation matters before the New Jersey Division of Workers’ Compensation. Ms. Meeks also has extensive experience involving workers' compensation cases before the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. Ms. Meeks received her law degree from Cornell University, and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Trenton State College. She was previously associated with the law firms of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, and Capehart & Scatchard, where she practiced in the area of workers’ compensation defense and litigation. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association, and Burlington County Bar Association.

JENNIFER C. MARTIN, ESQ. 

Ms. Martin is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and the State of New York. She earned her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in May 2005. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts from Penn State University in 2002 where she was a member of the Order of Omega, and Psi Chi National Honor Society. Ms. Martin was also active in Alpha Omicron Pi National Sorority. Ms. Martin previously worked as a law clerk for the firm of Rogut MccCarthy Troy, PC in Cranford, NJ and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office (PA).

THOMAS E. DOIG, JR., ESQ.

Mr. Doig is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  He is also Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Workers' Compensation Law Attorney.  Mr. Doig has a wealth of experience in defending workers' compensation claims having served as a Senior Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey defending the State of New Jersey in workers' compensation claims in the Division of Workers' Compensation, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division and New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Doig also serves on the Division of Workers' Compensation's COURTS ON-LINE committee.
